Talk around town

I love your note cards! They instantly show love and joy which is fun to spread. It's a nice and easy way to have a little piece of your art. I purchased sets as gifts.

Visiting your studio was so much fun. Cozy, sweet, colorful, and uplifting. So glad I bought a few souvenirs, and Bevco originals no less!

Composition has always influenced my work, living, and art. With an extensive background in graphic design, typography, photography, and ceramic art, my style had always swayed toward beautiful, yet functional communication.

With a desire to be more free, expressive, and unplugged, painting found me.

MY PROCESS
Typical canvases begin with words of affirmation around what I’d like to attract into the world. Examples; love, joy, health, and abundance, and am on a mission to spread it, so I start there.

I then add a layer with mark making and colors — eventually, something emerges, if I didn’t already have a subject in mind.
Each piece has something controlled and something "out-of-control." I like that balance. It doesn’t have to make sense, which makes sense to me.

NATURE ROOTS

I grew up a Colorado mountain girl with climbing, hiking, and snow sports. Frequently we were swimming and boating in rivers and lakes. Fun facts include living in a tent for an entire semester in college, and later in life - summiting Kilimanjaro. Am now a coastal, ocean lover, and a beginner surfer, with nature remaining my main muse.

WHAT IS SALTITUDE?
What it means to me, is gratitude for salt and water. I have a history with sea salts, and around 6 years ago, I crafted the amalgamation of the words, hadn't heard it before, however, I may not have been the first to use it. It was also during a phase when I had a sea salt brand.
