This painting is part of a journey exploring my own healing from losing my fisherman father this Spring, to caring for my amazing artist mother. She is a painter and loved to paint flowers so I thought I'd learn. magnolias are one of my very favorite flowers. Also poppies are represented to show California is present. Fish is sort of a Tilapia.
